Job description: Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a proactive and innovative Verification Engineer to join our Agricultural Business Area team in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead, Agricultural Test Engineering, the primary objective of the role is to ensure that our high performance GNSS & INS products and positioning services meet our worldwide Agricultural customer’s needs, from Tier 1 OEM to end users. The successful candidate will be challenged by testing our complex products in one of the most difficult industries we serve where NovAtel cutting edge technology is typically first deployed. This team member’s role will be critical in preventing software defects from reaching the market and continuing the reputation of the team as the internal customer’s voice.

Responsibilities
As Agriculture Verification Designer, responsibilities include:
- Executing tests to measure the performance of our products
- Developing new systems to further enhance the testing performance of the team
- Field testing on a range of off-road vehicles
- Processing and manipulating large format data
- Reviewing results against specifications
- Identifying and writing up formal defects for engineering investigation
- Generating test reports for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Degree in Geomatics/Electrical/Software Engineering or related field
- Experience writing and debugging Python
- An inherent desire for producing high-quality work and continuous improvement
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Valid class 5 driver’s license

Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with:
- Analyzing datasets using Numpy and/or Pandas
- Test automation using Jenkins
- Source control using Github and/or Perforce
- Elastic and the ELK stack
- Hardware platform development and component integration experience
