The Product Owner is responsible to help deliver against the McCain IT strategy: Develop a collaborative partnership with the Business and our people to deliver business applications that are rapidly executed to sustain costs and optimize technology for future opportunities. They will own the development of process and application plans to address business priorities and known gaps or inefficiencies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the “guardian of the global design” to ensure that McCain maintains global standardization in Finance applications and processes.
  • Owner of the Global Application process and application templates and common ways of working
  • Review and approve Regional IS business case for new applications.
  • Ensure that new applications are scalable for global applicability and that McCain has one global application vs multiple regional applications.
  • Take a leadership role in project execution (blueprint, realization, testing, training, go live and hyper-care).
  • Facilitate and provide design advice to deliver standard configuration and custom solutions in SAP FI-CO and other McCain Finance applications. Identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate enterprise architecture
  • Facilitate the prioritization of solutions and supports the documentation of global product roadmaps
  • Ensure that all enhancements and changes to the design are evaluated for global applicability and business value, and only deviate where legal and regulatory requirement dictate. Focus on standard “out of the box” functionality and minimize customization.
  • Ensure business has sponsored the enhancements and partner with IS through the governance process
  • Collaborate with the business to Adopt, Optimize and Extend, where applicable the appropriate process.
  • Understand business drivers and capabilities (future and current state), and determines corresponding system designs and change requirements to drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes
  • Work with the business lead and In-Country Business Analysts to support adoption of existing applications and processes to change and improve “the way we work”.
  • Manage the Enhancement pack and Service pack upgrades that are routinely deployed.
  • Responsible for development of life cycle roadmaps for all current applications both SAP and non-SAP.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years of demonstrated successful work experience in food industry, CPG or manufacturing, ideally with experience working with specified business function.
  • Deep understanding and expertise in multiple functional work stream: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Controlling, Project Systems, Asset Accounting, Intercompany Transactions, Profitability Analysis, Consolidation and Reporting
  • Ability to lead the design and implementation of solutions in SAP FI-CO. A thorough understanding and hands on experience utilizing SAP BPC, OneStream or other Finance Consolidation and Reporting Tools
  • Experience in leading project teams preferably in a global environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions internally and with third parties.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, changing environment with ambiguous conditions, dealing with both internal and external customers, including cross functional teams.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
