Position Summary

The Policy Administrator will assist with administration of advocacy efforts at the provincial and federal levels on a wide range of policy issues.

Essential Duties

Research, analyze, and report on municipal and agriculture related policy

Draft policy related correspondence, information papers, and background/briefing materials;

Manage the Resolution and Policy Tracking databases, including the addition of resolutions, responses, and actions;

Provide support services (recorder, secretarial, research) for Internal Committees

Assist with other administration duties at conventions and meetings as required.
Communications

Coordinate submissions and Weekly Policy Bulletin updates

Coordinate posting of relevant policy related website materials;

Prepare briefing materials as directed.

Research answers and respond to incoming
telephone, e-mail, and other correspondence inquiries

Follow up on action items stemming from Standing Committee and Board meetings

Provide written summary of discussions stemming from meetings, conferences, and/or consultations to relevant policy staff;
