Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Selector located in our Winnipeg Richardson Innovation Centre. You will support Richardson’s business units through continuous improvement and sustainability of Corporate Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.

Responsibilities:

Lead corporate grains & oilseeds commodity quality assurance programs for the purpose of assessing annual crop quality crop.

Conduct analysis of analytical results for the purpose of data trending, verification of compliance with commercial contractual terms and providing consultative support to the Merchandising and Operations business units.

Develop and facilitate grains & oilseeds training and development modules, educating business unit personnel in the assessment of quality and food safety and food safety attributes.

Establish quality assessment standards, technology & calibration system standards and food safety & defense program standards consistent with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Manage quality/food safety related incidents including leading incident investigation for root cause and liaising with customers, business units and regulators.

Coordinate and lead food safety/defense audits and collaborate with operating business units in attending to corrective actions initiatives.

Maintain current knowledge and understanding of applicable industry and regulatory requirements and trends ensuring corporate systems and programs are maintained in compliance with changes.

Qualifications:

Degree in Science or a related discipline coupled with three years’ experience working directly in a quality assurance and food safety role OR the equivalent in experience.

Inspector P1 III Certificate (Canadian Grain Commission) or willingness to challenge and successfully pass the examination.

Working knowledge of quality assurance, food safety and food defense systems and practices.

Strong analytical, organizational and investigative skills.

Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills.
