Work Hours: 20 hours per week. *(Flexibility is required with working longer than the usual shift hours depending on the operational needs)

Hourly Pay: $35 – $40

ABOUT THE ROLE

Action Against Hunger Canada is looking for a highly motivated and organized Project Planner to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of a range of digital projects between June 1st 2021 and October 31st 2021. The key digital projects housed under different departments in the organization are:

  • Implementation of an organization-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Implementation of an organization-wide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (transition from existing CRM to another).
  • Construction of an internal SharePoint site.
  • Transition of office to Microsoft Teams.
  • Transition of office email from Gmail to MS Exchange.
  • Action Against Hunger Canada website re-build.
  • SMART Methodology website re-build.
  • Tableau Dashboard Design for Gender Minimum Standards.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) procurement for 2022.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and in close collaboration with the Operations Director and IT Consultant, the Project Planner will:

  • Develop a detailed work back plan utilizing the organization’s project management software (Workzone) with each Head of Department or project lead for all of the digital projects planned for 2021 and 2022 ensuring that each of the projects is aligned and timed accordingly to allow for synergies and appropriate participation and engagement of personnel.
  • Direct support to the CFO for coordinating the ERP implementation and rollout in the organization.
  • Provide high-level oversight for each digital project ensuring that milestones are met, bottlenecks are alleviated, and project leads have the information and technical expertise on hand for decision making.
  • Support in the development of Terms of Reference for specialized technical support and budgets for each of the projects and lead the advertising and recruitment processes for the relevant consultants and vendors.
  • Coordinate with the organization’s IT consultant on all internal IT-related support required for each of these projects.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with similar types of IT/digital projects (PMP Certification is desirable).
  • Previous experience rolling out ERP systems within organizations is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the creation of an enabling environment for gender equality and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) prevention in the workplace.
  • Genuine interest in and commitment to the humanitarian principles of Action Against Hunger.
