YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Head, Medical Affairs Digital Strategy and Engagement, are to:
The Head for Medical Affairs Strategy and Engagement is responsible for driving the digital engagement strategy for Canada including the implementation of Customer Powerhouse (CPH) across all therapeutic areas (TA). This role will also represent Canada on relevant global teams and actively contribute to the global MA launch of CPH. This role is also responsible for monitoring the external environment for new innovations and using this knowledge to promote digital literacy across the organization. This role will also extensively collaborate with the global team to ensure country perspective while setting up the CPH infrastructure.
Key Tasks:
- Responsible for developing and implementing MA country strategy for customer facing activities
- In partnership with Pharma Operations, responsible for driving and guiding country Medical Affairs Customer Powerhouse (CPH) strategy and implementation across all Therapeutic Areas
- Develop and implement MA change management process for implementing CPH
- Work collaboratively with Pharma Operations and the Commercial organization in developing interfaces with Medical Affairs including the development of new processes where needed, key performance indicators, metrics and dashboards
- Work actively to enhance digital literacy and transform the digital mindset for all Medical staff. Improve confidence and comfort of digital staff in utilizing existing and new digital channels and tools.
- Continuously monitor the external digital landscape to identify new innovations and digital tools
- Develop a long-term digital engagement strategy for the country medical organization
- Ensure country perspective on relevant global teams and provide local input into global CPH and digital strategy
- Drive conversion of global content into modular and channel ready scientific material in collaboration with global TAs and countries – drive creativity to foster digital ready material to market in time
- Build basis for communications methods to convert scientific materials for various channels
- Foster collaboration between global and countries on new ways to prepare medical market communication
- Identify and address implementation barriers to new digital tools and processes
- Oversee training as well as change management including CPH required mindset shift
WHO YOU ARE
Your success will be driven by your demonstrations of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possess the following:
- Scientific, medical or pharmaceutical background with at least 10 years of experience in health industry. Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred
- Strategic Mindset and demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo
- Strong Business acumen
- Expertise in developing and implementing medical affairs processes.
- Background in building scientific product content
- Demonstrated capability to manage complex interdepartmental and international projects
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across global and country organization
- Strong relationship builder internally and externally – high level of integrity and trust
- Excellent communication and influencing skills – strong capability to present strategies and policies
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities
