Job description: Fountain Tire Salmon Arm (1371A 10 Ave SW) is searching for an experienced Automotive Sales Professional to join us as an Assistant Store Manager.

Our ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced tire and/or mechanical and agriculture professional (2-5 years) preferably with experience in a Service Advisor or Service Manager type role
- Hold a valid driver’s license required, with a satisfactory drivers abstract from province of residence
- Demonstrate a proficiency with computers
- Be driven to succeed with no inhibitions to getting hands dirty, this is a working management position
- Be fiscally responsible, self-confident and have excellent time management skills.
- Be dedicated , able to work varied hours/days as business dictates, career orientated
- is open to new ideas and perspectives being able to re-prioritize jobs at a moment’s notice
- Is able to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing and high-volume environment
- Has the ability to fill in for store manager when gone.
At Fountain Tire, the Assistant Manager supports their local owner in all facets of store operations. Responsibilities will include:
- Sharing product knowledge and technical expertise with Fountain Tire customers to build existing and new business
- Recommending tire and mechanical services to customers, receiving customer authorization for work to be performed, finalizing sales, and completing customer follow up
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assisting with the completion of an annual budget with particular attention to achieving operational benchmarks
- Ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained in store using proper inventory control techniques
- Assisting in identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable/credit clients
- Supporting the selection and development of a skilled and knowledgeable team
- Delegating duties and responsibilities to associates and providing feedback and direction as required
- Assist in implementing programs (safety, marketing etc.) as set out by Fountain Tire Place
