Building Materials Manufacturer
Location: Kitchener, ON

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate health and safety training and maintain safety training records
- Promote effective communication and dissemination of relevant health and safety information
- Maintain risk assessment and job safety analysis program
- Assist in implementing the health and safety systems and risk management systems by contributing to its continuous enhancement and completion of auditing requirements
- WSIB case management and incident investigations
- Adhere to and administer safe operating procedures
- Return to work processing as required
- Participate as an active management representative and liaison with the Joint Health and Safety committee to communicate and record meeting minutes, agenda and meeting schedule
- Forklift training – Train the trainer
- Ensure compliance aligns with legislative compliance
- Ensure all Covid protocols are met
Travel is required between 3 Ontario locations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in a health and safety role ideally in a building materials manufacturing environment
- Occupational Health and Safety certification is a strong asset
- Excellent understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Forklift experience and forklift training is an asset
- Experience leading Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings (JHSC)
- Experience with investigation of incidents
Drivers License required with a Clean Drivers Abstract
