The Authorizations Technologist provides a range of technical evaluation and advisory services to support decisions on the use of natural resources, and the achievement of resource management objectives.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Degree, Diploma or equivalent in the natural resource related field.
Preference may be given to applicants who are registered, or eligible for immediate registration as a Registered Forest Technologist or equivalent with the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals.
A minimum of 1 year of related experience working in natural resource management. Preference maybe given to applicants with 2 or more years of experience.
Experience performing technical duties, such as Forest Revenue, Forest Cruising and Waste, or Forest Tenure Administration and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
Provisos:
Valid BC driver’s licence.
Meet safety standards of WorkSafe BC.
Conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Must be physically able to carry equipment and supplies in difficult terrain.
Operate a variety of field equipment (i.e., ATV, snowmobile).
