Reports to the Manager, Connected Worker.

What you will do:

  • Understand potash mining and milling operations, collaborate with multiple stakeholders from numerous operating sites and digital delivery partners, anticipate and offer solutions as opportunities arise
  • Be the primary point of contact for in-house software solutions relevant to potash
  • Develop and maintain the vision for the portfolio of products; ensure they maintain a high level of quality and deliver significant value to our operations
  • Lead and coordinate the development and translation of business needs into technical requirements with groups including Business experts, Analysts, UX Designers, Developers, Testers and other resources that are part of our IT matrix organization
  • Maintain productive relationships with all levels of workforce throughout potash and IT
  • Provide the roadmap for value-driven software implementations
  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations to translate insights into actionable business solutions
  • Assist with resolution of technical challenges
  • Actively seek and identify where digital solutions can provide value to business areas across the BUs, provide solutions to BUs analytical problems and validate the solution performance
  • Engage with stakeholders and leverage IT resources to ensure that data insights are effectively communicated through the most appropriate data visualization and navigation tools
  • Proactively provide relevant content and training on software solutions to hourly, staff, and training departments supporting potash software
  • Contribute to communications, training material, messaging, FAQs, etc.

What you will bring:

  • 2 Year Technical Diploma/Degree or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of combined experience across multiple industrial areas (operations, maintenance, construction, engineering, etc.)
  • A passion and aptitude for applying technical and digital solutions to add value to the business
  • Domain knowledge of potash operations and industrial environments
  • Ability to transform business requirements into technical requirements for the development of software
  • Ability to work with diverse and remote teams
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills to describe complex technical concepts and critical business processes
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Goal oriented and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Track record of successful execution of results in a team setting
  • Valid driver’s license
