Job description: JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail orientated, organized Project Manager with excellent communication and collaboration project team skills to contribute on our Process Automation Project Team in Finance. Our Finance Project team oversees all Finance related projects, supporting various lines of business and internal Finance Departments including Shared Services which processes field staff payroll verification (for over 6,000 field staff) and billing (to Provincial Health Authorities, Government Agencies, Private & Public Insurance). Project initiatives include process optimization and change management activities related to People, Process & Technology systems such as Peoplesoft, Alayacare, Procura with an emphasis on building a Center of Excellence for RPA. The ideal candidate has extensive experience overseeing the management of projects and initiatives to ensure timelines, milestones and deliverables are met and projects are completed on time, on budget and with clear consistent communication with all stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design and management of identified projects and initiatives which strive to improve operations and support the ongoing maintenance of improvements and innovations
  • Works in collaboration with the other Department Project Managers, liaising with Information System resources, cross functional teams and relevant business partners.
  • Collaborate with other NDC Departments and Government and Private Branch Operation teams to develop, monitor progress and provide leadership in achieving timelines, milestones and deliverables for any identified project or initiatives.
  • In partnership with NDC finance business partners, assists in analyzing the financial performance of projects and initiative in terms of meeting financial targets and objectives.
  • Lead, organize and facilitate key stakeholder communications around national goals, objectives and progress on projects and initiatives.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Director, Finance Projects
Direct Reports: None
Key Relationships: Bayshore Branches, the Sr. Project Manager, Process Design Analyst, Project Stakeholders from all areas/lines of business, Shared Services Operation Managers, other Finance teams (AR, Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting), Government & Private Funders

Qualifications

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience:

  • Coordinating project initiatives & implementing improved operational processes in a growth company
  • Must demonstrate a successful track record in strategic planning, project management, financial analysis, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams and inspire individuals towards continuous improvement and the drive to achieve excellence. Experience with MS Office tools, Project

  • Flexible, with strong organization, and time management skills
  • Creative, innovative and collaborative team player
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, and a disciplined doer with high energy; ability to manage multiple project priorities

  • Comfortable implementing process improvement changes in a fast-paced environment

EDUCATION
Completion of a bachelor’s degree and a PMP designation or a Master’s degree (MHA, MBA) or equivalent with relevant experience.
