SALARY: $80,000++
LOCATION: HYBRID – WFH and Montreal in-office 1-2 days a week

About the Opportunity

This company requires an experienced General Accountant who loves a smaller environment with an entrepreneurial feel and likes to “do it all”. You will love to roll up your sleeves and be hands on in the day to day accounting and financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL Accounting and Revenue Recognition as per accounting principles (GAAP)
• Manage monthly Bookkeeping (journal entry preparation, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, cash management, etc.)
• Provide Financial, KPI, and BI reporting for upper Management
• Prepare budget forecasts and monitor P&L
• Prepare and oversee Bi-monthly Payroll Processing and some general HR duties

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA designation
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a full cycle accounting role, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry
• Bilingual and Fluent in French and English (written and spoken);
• Experience with the XERO accounting software is a definite asset;
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently, resolve problems and navigate complexity in a busy ever-changing environment
