Job description: We are currently seeking a part-time, motivated General Shop Worker to join our dedicated manufacturing team in Montreal.

The main responsibility will be to oversee the entire receiving process in the warehouse/factory located in Montreal, as well as to drive our company vans, to deliver and unload, our custom systems in both our Montreal and Ottawa markets. The ideal candidate must be meticulous, with a high attention to detail. The role requires a physical, practical and analytical component, and also a finesse when handling material received.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspects all orders being received and shipped, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items.
• Maintain shipping and receiving records while ensuring that incoming and outgoing products are in good condition.
• Keep track of shop inventory in collaboration with shop team.
• Keeps warehouse area clean, safe and organized.
• Perform data entry as needed.
• Flexible, willing, and positive attitude.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in receiving/distribution/transportation is an asset.
• Good communication skills, French & English.
• Enjoys manual work and working in a factory environment
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to handle high value and high-quality products with care
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.

• Exceptional attention to detail, multi-taking, and organization skills.
• Forklift experience an asset.
