Position Summary
Interior Health is looking for a relief part time (0.59 FTE) Registered Nurse to join our Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) – Level 7. This relief is until March 1, 2023 or return of the incumbent.

Who are we looking for?

If you are a self-directed, motivated, reliable and flexible Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a team environment and has a strong desire to learn and progress into emergency nursing at our VJH Level 7 Acute Medical, Rehab and Palliative Care unit.

What will you work on?

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shift types are days and nights and shift times are from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this location/unit

Our Acute medical unit has 28 beds with a focus on acute medicine, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Our cohesive team of RNs and LPNs work collaboratively with a wider inter-professional network of Physicians, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Rehab Assistants and Palliative Care Network to deliver safe and compassionate nursing care and support to patients and their caregivers during their hospital stay and transition to home. Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

*Palliative education or experience is an asset.
