What Would You Do?
Palliser Furniture Ltd. is currently seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Logistics Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments as well as communicating with internal departments on shipment updates.
The duties and responsibilities of this position would include:
- Planning outbound truckloads.
- Super ordering and batching orders in AS400.
- Monitoring request dates and express orders to prioritize shipments.
- Obtaining Less Than Load (LTL) quotes for inbound, outbound, or third-party shipments.
- Booking delivery appointments.
- Registering delivery appointments on customer external websites.
- Entering appointment information in AS400
- Prepare shipping invoices and computing freight costs for outgoing shipments.
- Tracking of Palliser trailers.
- Tracking Palliser orders through delivery companies.
- Filing as required.
What Do You Bring?
- 2-3 years experience working in a Logistics environment
- Well rounded knowledge of North American Geography
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Data entry experience in AS400 is an asset.
