We currently have an exciting opportunity for a X-ray Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols.
  • Includes general x-ray, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy and minor procedures
  • Ability to operate all types of equipment including general x-ray rooms (DR & CR), mobile x-ray, c-arm fluoroscopy, general fluoroscopy and multi-purpose rooms.
  • Prepare and assess patients for radiologic procedures including obtaining consent and confirming exam validity, resourcing radiologists as is necessary and sterile technique practices.
  • Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS.
  • Knowledge of and dutifully follows radiation safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and their own occupational dose.

Requirements:

  • Must be registered and in good standing with CMRTO. CAMRT is preferred.
  • Must have past experience in Emergency, Operating Room and Portable Radiology.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team internally and externally to the Medical Imaging Department.

Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.

Hours of work: Available to work rotating shifts including days, evenings nights and weekends.
