Skills and Experience to Take You Further
Based out of Winnipeg and reporting into the crop inputs division of P&H, this position will be responsible for negotiations with suppliers, communication with retails, supply planning and inventory management as it relates to select crop protection and seed products for Western Canada. Preference will be given towards candidates with a proven track-record, background in agronomy and/or supply chain management, intimate knowledge of the seed and crop protection business, and sound financial management skills. Some travel will be required.
Your day to day activities will include:
- Negotiate programs, pricing and position with suppliers
- Communicate programming and pricing to retail staff
- Communicate product attributes and supply to retail staff
- Work with retails on diligent inventory management
- Facilitate business builder tactics that drive the business
- Create positive working relationships with staff and suppliers
- Promote product stewardship with staff and customers
- Present at employee & customer meetings as required
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the agricultural industry
- Strong background in crop inputs; P. Ag an asset but not required
- Diploma or degree in a related discipline
- 1-2 years’ experience with supply chain management
- Demonstrated strong financial management skills
- Self-starter who’s initiative is driven by passion & hard work
- Strong teamwork with ability to build collaborative relationships
- Effectively manages responsibilities through continuous improvement
- Effective communication and sales skills with experience presenting ideas & products
- Business minded with attention to detail
