Our client is seeking GENERAL LABOURERS to work at their sawmills in GOGAMA, Ontario.

What you’ll be doing specifically:

• Tie up bundles of rough lumber for drying outside.
• Redo and stack bundles of rough and planed wood in the yard.
• Perform clean-ups of the yard and sawmill.
• Perform clean-ups after interior and exterior sawing operations.
• During work downtime, clean areas that are inaccessible during operations.
• Do any other related tasks (don’t worry; you’ll learn tons of things that will help you in your career!).

• Show vigilance and a concern for health and safety.

Qualifications

Experience that will help you in this position:

• DCS, DEC, or equivalent.
• Prior experience at a sawmill is an asset.
• Be available to work day and/or night shifts.

WAGE & HOURS:

• $26 per hour, + night shift premium, 40- 44 hours per week
• Overtime after 44 hours per week, Sundays or Statutory Holidays
• Shift rotation (as applicable): rotating shifts days, afternoons, night
