Job description: Hunter’s Landing is looking for a General Manager to join our team!

As a General Manager you will own the overall 4-walls of the business. You will partner with the Chef to ensure front of house operations are aligned with the culinary program in your location. You are the driver behind great Team Member experiences that drive the perfect Guest Journey, striving for a standard of 100% Guest satisfaction.

What you will do in this role:

  • Inspire and live the art of hospitality so both your teammates and Guests believe it and feel it
  • Manage the floor and flow of business by role modeling and upholding standards, dress code and operating systems in the Front of House
  • Coach and inspire your Management team, Chef and Front of House Teammates on a daily basis for development and success
  • Be the ambassador of the Guest Journey by driving knowledge around our food and beverage program, as well as hospitality and salesmanship
  • Drive sales and local restaurant Marketing initiatives to build business
  • Be responsible for Guest and staff relations and required disciplinary action
  • Be the internal contact for health inspector, fire inspector, and liquor inspector
  • Follow up on all departments, financial goals, goal achievement and action plans
  • Be responsible for general staff meetings and direct line meetings
  • Be accountable for business planning for the restaurant, key financials and key performance indicators, as well as maintaining and growing sales and profitability
  • Progress through the Restaurant Leadership Certification Program, and take part in continued learning and development over time, as required

What we are looking for from you:

  • Full time
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry in a self-directed leadership role

  • Proven success with both people development and long-term sales growth
  • Proven ability to achieve results through others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to attract and retain excellent performers and to develop high performing teams
  • Posses a leadership style that is developmental through promoting a culture of dialogue and role modelling the values and practices of the company
  • Entrepreneurial spirit- having presence “on the floor” and in the community.
