NPC Northland Builders has contracted for a number of projects with Northland Properties Corporation and we are currently looking for general laborers.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize hand and power tools.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Install, repair and service interior or exterior prefabricated products.
  • Work in conjunction with crew members to complete field projects or tasks.
  • Perform duties in compliance with company and legislation policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties within the employee’s skill set, as assigned.
  • Assemble and erect scaffolding.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year of working experience.
  • Experience: carpentry, general painting, plumbing and general construction are considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Tile setting experience
  • Forming / Rebar
  • Concrete finishing and placing

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10-12 hours/day.
  • Must be able to run a jack hammer and remove debris.

Job requirements:

  • Must have reliable transportation to work
  • Must have a cell phone.
  • Steel-toed boots are a must
  • Physical SIN card or Copy of T4 from Revenue Canada

Job Type: Full-time: 8AM – 430 PM Monday – Friday

Salary: Starting at $18 – 30 hr depending on experience. Paid bi-weekly

Job Location: Williams Lake, BC
