Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Project Management Office in CIBC’s Personal Banking Product Technology group. As a IT Project Manager, you’ll lead teams of stakeholders and business partners to ensure projects of all sizes are completed in line with the team’s budget and timeline. You will provide guidance to others and manage a portfolio of projects from end-to-end. You’ll use your expertise in project management methodology to make recommendations for continuous improvements on all project plans.
How You’ll Succeed
- Project Management – Outline program goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs and supervise resources in a matrixed project. Help create a resource plan that ensures all stakeholders have a voice on the project. Assess the efficiency of the practices and procedures used by a team, and provide guidance that will continuously improve the project plan. Manage programs and budget allocation. Evaluate issues/mitigate risks and interpret variances for business sponsor/executive along with recommendations.
- Collaboration – Help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Work closely with team, project team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Relationship Management – Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application program. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.

- You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field of study. It’s an asset if you have your PMP Designation.
- You can demonstrate experience in Project Management methodology, principles, and tools, within a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Project Manager . It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, Program/Portfolio Management, HP Planview, and knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), back-end technologies, infrastructure and application delivery process.
