You will learn to provide great client care including:
- Helping clients maintain independence in their home by supporting their personal and emotional wellbeing.
- Providing compassionate personal care including skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care and eating.
- Helping clients with comfortable positioning, lifts, transfers and light exercising like assisted walking
- Leading caring and meaningful conversations and activities focus on the client emotional health and happiness.
- Assist with general household management including light housekeeping duties and meal planning/preparation
- Use the most up to date Infection Prevention and Control Practice (IPAC) and protective equipment to keep you and your client safe at all times.
- How to be the difference for those in your community that need your help
Qualifications
To provide great care in the community, you must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle and an understand that work schedules meet client needs which includes during daytime, evening and weekends shifts.
