Job description: THE CENTRE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION has the following anticipated vacancies for the WINTER 2024 Semester for AEC Applied Accounting and Administration (AAA-02) DAYTIME January 1 to June 30, 2024 (9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm).

TYPE OF CONTRACTS: CHARGE DE COURS (À LA LEÇON) (1-2.12)

COURSE: 410-A68-AB*

TITLE: Advanced spreadsheets for business

HOURS: 120

SECTION(S): one (1)

N.B. Contracts are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment in each course. Starting date, day/time and location for each course to be determined by the Centre for Continuing Education.

DISCLAIMER: Courses to be delivered in a Hybrid, online or onsite format.

QUALIFICATIONS

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (410) FINANCE AEC (CFM)

EDUCATION:

Master’s or equivalent degree in Business Administration (MBA) OR; Master’s level degree in a related field OR; Bachelor’s or equivalent degree and a CPA/CA designation AND a current member in good standing of CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant business and industry experience.
  • Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level PREFERRED.
  • Excellent English communication skills required. Bilingual (English/French) candidates PREFERRED.

In addition to basic requirements above, candidates must meet these criteria for the following course:

Education:

Bachelors in Computer Science, Business Administration or other relevant field of study as well as minimum 3 years’ experience with MS office systems technologies OR Significant Industry experience (10 years minimum) working with MS office systems technologies- Required

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years business or accounting experience- an asset
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience- an asset
  • Master level degree in a related field- an asset
  • Excellent English communications skills required
  • Bilingual (English/French) candidates preferred

This course is a continuation of 420-AO I-AB Introduction to computer applications for business. The most important aspect of the course is the knowledge of MS office systems, particularly excel and how to apply excel skills to business/accounting scenarios. The teacher must have knowledge and experience

working with MS office systems technologies.

Note: In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and/or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional/industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committe
