We are evolving from an HR generalist to an HR team, and we want you to be a crucial part of our transformation.

We are hiring a permanent part-time Human Resources Coordinator who shares our values. We are looking for a roughly half-time (16-24 hour/week on average) commitment and can largely accommodate your schedule. You can work in our Vancouver or Langley BC offices, or primarily remotely. Over time, your role might expand to full time if you want, or it could remain part time.

We’re looking for someone that excels at independently managing tasks, effortlessly balancing priorities, and consistently meeting deadlines. This role is responsible for keeping accurate records and handling HR documents with confidentiality. The ideal candidate also demonstrates proficiency in software applications, is comfortable with technology, and adept at video calls. Job Responsibilities:

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll be working closely with our experienced HR Manager to enhance our HR services and support our dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment: You’ll help source top talent by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Onboarding: You’ll support or facilitate the onboarding process, including paperwork, orientations, and training, ensuring new hires feel welcome and prepared.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain employee records and HR documentation with the utmost accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Performance Management: Support managers in the performance review process, and maintain relevant records.
  • Document Preparation: Assist in creating employment letters, agreements, and HR policies as part of the HR/leadership/finance/support team.
  • HR Support: Address internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate training programs for our team members, helping them grow and thrive.
  • Project Management: Participate in the planning and execution of HR and HR-adjacent projects and initiatives, contributing to our continuous improvement efforts.

Required Experience and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or actively pursuing one), or relevant work experience.
  • 1-3 years of HR or related experience.
  • Eligibility or progress toward professional registration (CPHR) is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Occasional in-person office attendance is preferred (Lower Mainland based is ideal).
  • Familiarity with specialized HR software suited to our organization’s needs is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations in our operating areas.
