The Winnipeg-based Franchise Reporting and Analysis team is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Franchise Reporting and Analysis, you will be part of a world-class Accounting team and you will be exposed to top-notch systems like SAP and Microstrategy.
What you’ll do:
Review and analyze franchise stores’ P&L
Reconcile the Corporate Income Tax and Commodity Tax accounts
Prepare and post a multitude of journal entries.
Provide guidance to franchise stores on multiple topics including financial transactions on their statements.
Respond to government audits and external accountants.
Collaborate with other teams to automate and optimize current processes to drive efficiencies and create capacity within the business
What you’ll need:
A minimum of 4 years of previous applicable industry experience, or a combination of education and experience
Currently enrolled in an accounting designation program would be considered an asset
Strong English communication skills
Strong French communication skills would be an asset
Corporate tax experience would be an asset
Ability to converse comfortably with business partners
Intermediate experience with spreadsheet applications, word documents and email (office suite)
Professional attitude (business attire, communication with colleagues, positive attitude) professional demeanor
Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Demonstrated ability to work independently or part of a team
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to problem solve and offer constructive solutions
Ability to meet required deadlines/targets
Be flexible and able to adapt to change in a positive manner
