Our client is a one of the oldest corporately-owned real estate groups in the country. With offices in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia, the Senior Accountant position will be located out of the Corporate Head Office in Toronto.
As a member of the corporate finance and accounting team, the Senior Accountant will responsible for general accounting and treasury management. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare quarterly financial statement and reporting package
- Prepare & analyze complex manual journal entries including revenue recognition
- Prepare & analyze recurring operating accruals.
- Prepare & analyze monthly Franchise Fees
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete treasury journal entries
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or pursuing, plus 5+ years experience in a corporate head office or shared services environment.
- Real estate industry experience highly preferred, but not mandatory
- Advanced Excel skills required. Great Plains or Lonewolf software a definite asset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
