Mogo is looking for a Front End Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize our online customer experience – and that’s kind of a big deal!

As a Front End Engineer, you will work alongside our Product, Marketing and Development teams to create and maintain fundamental pieces of our web application. Join a strong team that is focused on impacting the world through finance and making our everyday lives better. What you’ll do:

Build frontend features using JS/ES6, Pug templates, and SCSS.
Contribute to the technical design, implementation, and testing of product features.
Write clean code and make smart design decisions.
Ship features with users in mind and strive to provide them with a great experience.
Identify technical debt and offer recommendations on improving the quality of the frontend codebase.
Act as a brand ambassador for Mogo, regularly using our suite of products, sharing the brand with friends and family, and providing feedback to the team for improvements

What you’ll need:

3-5 years experience working in a variety of development environments (SAAS would be a huge plus).
Solid grasp of computing science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Strong knowledge in front-end technologies and ability to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc).
Strong experience working collaboratively in a team environment (Agile is a plus).
Experience working in CI/CD environments and utilizing testing.
HTML templating systems, modern CSS and CSS preprocessing languages
Strong knowledge of SPA development
