Edelman Canada is searching for a detail-oriented, proactive Director, Business Development and Agency Operations to join our national Operations team. This role sits at the centre of our business, and is a critical part of how our agency functions, evolves and grows every day.

Responsibilities:

• This role is the ideal position for someone who has a broad understanding of business development and agency operations. It reports into the Head of Operations, Canada and will be responsible for:
• Leadership of national and market-level Business Development strategy, enablement, process evolution and facilitation, ensuring our new business efforts are best-in-class, efficient and effective
• Daily oversight of external marketing efforts for Edelman Canada, working with experts across functions and teams to promote, evolve and protect our agency’s reputation in the industry
• Internal communications support that drives an excellent employee experience
• Operational support for our Western Canadian offices in Vancouver and Calgary, working directly with local General Managers on key local initiatives
• Support with the development and roll out special projects and new initiatives related to the agency’s operations
• Continuously identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation
• Management of direct reports, supporting growth and development

Qualifications:

• We’re looking for someone who is…
• Process-driven while also being a strong communicator; this role will have regular interaction with senior leaders within the business
• A strategic thinker and problem solver
• Familiar with life at an agency and how that shapes the way we communicate with our audiences – both internal and external
• Experienced in business development strategy and execution, with proven results
• Has an understanding of how to build and run an integrated corporate marketing program to build brand reputation and attract new clients
• Comfortable working both individually and with a team, is proactive and able to drive projects forward autonomously
• Has 8+ years of experience in increasingly senior roles, ideally within a communications, advertising or other agency or professional services setting
• Passionate about doing great work and working with smart people!
