Our client, a Manufacturer in the Oakville area, is seeking a General Accountant with a focus on AR functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall accounts receivable process, including new customer setup, invoicing & reconciliation
  • Submit invoices to customer by mail/email or online processing
  • Prepare customer statements and reconciliations
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliation and cash reporting
  • Assist in preparation of journal entries
  • Assist in monthly closing and prepare ad hoc reports as required

Qualifications:

  • CPA student
  • Accounting college certificate or university degree
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Accounts Receivable and general accounting
  • Strong relationship-building ability, proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful
  • Strong customer service in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and work ethics
  • Must have a sense of urgency in completing tasks
  • Ability to multitask and manage your time effectively and can deal with a heavy workload
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
