Baker Tilly WM is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as an IT Manager to help lead our Information Technology department. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s IT operations, infrastructure, and team in the Toronto office, ensuring the efficient and secure functioning of our technology systems. This role is vital in supporting our business operations and helping us achieve our strategic objectives.
Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring the reliability and availability of IT systems to support daily operations.
- Acting as technical support escalation to staff members.
- Working with IT Director to develop and manage the IT budget.
- Aligning IT strategies with the overall business objectives of the firm.
- Leading IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Identifying and mitigating potential IT risks that could impact the firm’s operations.
- Evaluating and managing relationships with IT vendors.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Leading and motivating the IT team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Promoting adaptability and a positive attitude toward change.
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field. Combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in IT management, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity.
- Proven understanding of Microsoft and related technologies, networking, and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology trends and business requirements.
- Experience in the Professional Practice industry will be an asset.
