Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT QA Manager to join our team! In this role your sole aim is to make the procedure easier and clearer for your team because you understand that if one person is bogged down, it will affect the performance of the whole group. If you are a hands-on leader who has solid experiences in automation testing tools and able to manage the transition the QA team from manual testing to automated testing, then this is the right position for you. The QA team is responsible for the comprehensive application testing process for in-house developed applications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Integrate the use of automated software testing tools into development and QA environments.
- Mentors/trains team members to become effective software QA professionals.
- Apply DevOps principles to the QA processes to improve the delivery pipeline and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Ensure applications satisfy business/project objectives and fulfill functional and non-functional requirements by conducting hands-on functional, load, regression, and security testing.
- Prioritizes projects based on contractual commitments and cost benefit and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Directly supervises quality assurance team including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities.
- Manages QA department and adheres to overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources.
- Sets and ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
- Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of software quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of application development.
- Works with project managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QA related projects and other activities such as software deployment, customer integration, and professional services validation.

Along with a degree in a relevant area of study, you’ll have:
- 10+ years application software quality assurance including 5-7 years of management experience
- Hands-on experience with automated software quality tools. Experience with Selenium Web Driver, SoapUI and scripting tools is preferred.
- In depth knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, Agile Methodologies and Scrum Development.
- Knowledge of or experience with AWS and Mobile Automation Testing tools is preferred
- Project Management
- Leadership/Personnel Management
- Ability to expand job responsibilities, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas and improve processes
- Understanding of company organization, products and related industry knowledge
- Negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills, influencing and persuasion skills
