FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Develop, prepare and coordinate Primavera P6 construction schedules to meet project requirements
- Develop and Implement systems for collecting and analyzing data to determine progress of scheduled activities
- Create a good liaison with project managers, superintendents and clients on all activities and matters related to scheduling.
- Involvement in project issues and make recommendations for possible solutions
- Direct the implementation, perform variance analysis and provide input to program management and task delays
- Plan task activities and work with project team to ensure schedule is well understood.
- Verify the weekly and monthly schedules progress
- Review, evaluate, and reject or approve schedules
- Understand contractual terms and conditions and communicate contractual implication schedule related issues to project management
- Prepare reports as needed and directed by Management
- Implement policies and procedures
- Effectively communicate with Project Team
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Strong sense of initiative and self -motivation
- Energetic and team oriented
- Strong analytical thinking skills
- Ability to produce quality work with very little guidance
- Have excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
- Mining or industrial experience is an asset
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 required
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma; equivalency considered
- Post secondary education in engineering program, technical diploma or project management studies.
- Minimum of 5 years of Project Control, estimating, planning or project management experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience would be considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Saskatoon and Esterhazy, Saskatchewan
- Full time
- Opportunity to work at camp on 14 days on 7 days off – 10 hour shifts
- Overtime as required
