Part-Time Senior Financial Accounting Consultant

This position offers an extraordinary opportunity for the successful candidate to gain invaluable experience. We are looking for a Part-Time Senior Financial Accounting Consultant to join our client’s team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Enter monthly payroll and journal entries.
• Perform monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist with payroll including annual forms including but not limited to ROEs and T4s.
• Prepare and analyze Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Budget to actual variance analysis reporting
• Streamline financial processes.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Support team members and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification desirable but not necessary.
• 5+ years’ proven experience as a financial accountant.
• Knowledge of Sage 300
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
