This Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) position supports the Medicine and Restorative Care portfolio at Chinook Regional Hospital. In the CNE role, you will use your education, experience, innovation and problem-solving skills to deliver relevant, quality educational opportunities to professional and auxiliary nursing personnel. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills will complement a team focused, patient safety-oriented philosophy. Unit 3B is a 24 bed General Medicine unit while 5B is a 20 bed Sub-Acute and Restorative care unit. As part of the medicine portfolio, you will work collaboratively with other medicine educators as well as educators from other operational areas to ensure staff are well positioned to provide excellent patient care. Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Post secondary credentials in adult education. Masters degree in nursing with clinical education focus. Demonstrated competency incorporating technology in delivering adult education. Proven experience in developing and/or delivering clinical education programs. Able to demonstrate knowledge of adult education principles. Demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Office applications.
