About the Role
Provides administrative, clerical, and financial assistance for the Beedie School of Business. Processes expenditures and revenues; reconciles and maintains financial records, including research and specific purpose projects, research centres, endowments, point-of-sale online payments, petty cash and operating accounts. Maintains and streamlines the Teaching Assistant and Course Instructor Evaluation process for the Faculty’s three campuses. Provides assistance and support with building and facilities operational tasks and activities; procurement and purchase requisitions; office supply orders, MECS event plans, SFU credit card administration, teaching instructor support and timesheet processing.
Qualifications
High school graduation and one year of post-secondary education, including formal training in bookkeeping, computer applications and office practices. 3 years minimum experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study ad experience is acceptable.
- Good knowledge of university regulations. policies, procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping methods and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to work with high volumes of work, set priorities and meet strict deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
