You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating rates with carriers, and ensuring the timely delivery of shipments. Responsibilities:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their shipping needs- Source and negotiate rates with various carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions- Coordinate and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery- Proactively communicate with clients and carriers to address any issues or concerns- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly resolving any inquiries or complaints
Essential Job Functions:
– Utilize transportation management software and other relevant tools to efficiently manage shipments- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistical processes and enhance customer satisfaction- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities- Prepare and analyze sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company
Skills:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service within the supply chain and logistics sector
– Preferred: An established book of business within the logistics industry
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities
– Proficiency in using transportation management software and other relevant tools
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities
