Hours of work: 35 Hours per week

Reporting to: Manager, Program Planning and Compliance
In this role you will supervise a team of 5 including Advisors, Project Managers and Specialists.
What you will do in this role:
This team focuses on developing plans and processes to ensure clean, sustainable water resources. The Team will work on water resource management including Planning, Supports Project Execution, Pre-Commissioning, Post- Commissioning.
- Provide frontline supervision, coaching, mentoring and resolve team conflicts
- Responsible for providing support through data, GIS and data in identifying, developing water program infrastructure budgets and identifying asset management needs
- Leads the development and management of the flow monitoring program and rainfall monitoring
- Provides direct supervision to the GIS and data team
- Leads project teams provide data and support to the team that conduct Environmental Assessments, Feasibility, SOGR, and Water technology studies to support water program initiatives
- Review and implement new and existing business processes within the water and wastewater data management program
- Monitor and ensure technical application tools for the section are adequate and provide the necessary service to internal stakeholders
- Build sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders and resolve enquiries
What the role requires:
- University Degree/College degree in Civil Engineering, Geo Science or Earth Sciences, plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer or Geoscientist, Geologist or related registered with the PGO (Professional Geoscientists Ontario)
Must be a Qualified Person (QP) as per the Environmental Protection Act and Ontario Water Resources Act. Someone who can exercise professional judgement based on his or her education and professional experience in order to advise on matters related to water takings for a variety of projects including watermain construction or replacement, road construction and construction site dewatering. * Leadership skills to lead project teams ability to delegate work, coordinate logistics and develop short and long terms plans/strategies to meet projects deliverables
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure and related functions
- Fundamental knowledge of leading edge internal audit and risk management theories and methodologies
- Experience developing long term strategies for infrastructure planning and funding
- Interpretation of legislation related to water infrastructure design and construction, Ministry assessments and official and Master Plans
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills/Abilities:
- Financial aptitude and understanding of business/financial analyses for project deliverables
- Project/program management skills to work in collaboration with approval agencies and achieve consensus on project components/recommendations management of consultants
- Previous leadership/coaching/supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written to present project recommendations to senior management, Council, approval agencies and at public information meetings
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office, GIS applications

*Work Mode:In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton ON worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
