Role:

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced 500410 IT Server Administrator – Intermediate (Contract) in Vancouver, BC (Remote) OR Calgary/Edmonton AB (Remote) for a 3 months contract starting in April 2021 with possibility of extension at the client’s discretion. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience as a Server Administrator in an enterprise IT environment, providing L2/L3 troubleshooting, investigating vulnerabilities (using security tools like Qualys), planning and executing remediation tasks, and optimizing servers to achieve high performance. Experience with Azure Servers, VMWARE, and HyperV would be an asset.

Technical Skills (Nice to Have):

• 8+ years experience as a Server Administrator in an enterprise IT environment.
• Experience working with Qualys to investigate issues and vulnerabilities, providing remediation plans and implementing remediation tasks.
• Experience in manual patching, and software removal/installation.
• Experience in administration and configuration of VMWARE and HyperV.
• Experience with Azure Servers, and SQL server would be an asset.
• Ability to work outside of regular hours, and weekends is required.
• Have excellent analytical skills and be a good problem solver.
• Good time and organization management skills.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Education (nice to have):

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science would be an asset
• Active Technical Certifications would be an asset
