Job Description

The Account Development Specialist is the image, face and voice of Traction. You are accountable for building and maintaining quality business relationships with existing and new customers by implementing National, Regional and District-level sales development initiatives. The ADS contributes in keeping Traction abreast of customer behavior, competitive threats and market trends. You will participate in the development and refinement of sales development initiatives at the District level.

Specific responsibilities are:

  • Visit, on a regular basis, new and existing customers to keep them informed and to establish a good working relationship with the personnel;
  • Plan and organize visits to meet existing and potential customers as well as to generate increased sales;
  • Be responsible for the sales growth of individual sales territory;
  • Resolve problems & complaints;
  • Support and advise store management on the products and adequate quantities to keep in inventory;
  • Be aware of market conditions and collect strategic information concerning the market and the competition;
  • Operating knowledge of all marketing programs.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of pertinent sales experience;
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of the Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Aftermarket is desired;
  • Available for regular travel;
  • Strong Presentation Skills and Written Communication Skills, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Planning, Organizing and Autonomy
