Department Overview

The role is accountable for delivering a superior customer experience while driving profitable business growth, in line with business strategy. This role is accountable for expanding its portfolio and maximizing the value of existing Agriculture commercial business customer relationships for both credit and non-credit products/services. The Account Manager II Agriculture Service is responsible for conducting credit analysis for own portfolio.

The Account Manager II, Agriculture Service will develop the initial creation of a shadow portfolio of target businesses commensurate with the market and their existing portfolio. Works closely with internal and external subject matter experts and/or lending advisory groups.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
CUSTOMER: Complete rotation objectives set together with each host at the beginning of each rotation Contribute to, support, and prioritize comprehensive, efficient, and accurate processes to meet and exceed business/client needs and requirements Conduct meaningful qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis, and obtain/share internal and external data and best practices Improve processes within area including but not limited to those related to reporting, planning, and forecasting; contribute to overall effectiveness of the organization Assist in conducting value-added business analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business unit/client endeavors, including ad-hoc reviews, reporting, and takeaways with attribution analysis and executive summaries within own area or as assigned Liaise with other areas of the business and overall enterprise to facilitate completion of projects For Financial Advisor Program: Provide personalized financial services advice relating to everyday banking, investment solutions, credit needs, and credit management Build effective, profitable, long-lasting relationships with a variety of unique personal banking and business banking clients Liaise with other business units (e.g., Wealth, Business Banking, etc.) to facilitate successful referrals of clients For Technology Solutions Programs: Create code and maintain software, applications, etc. according to business requirements, UX designs, and architectural guidelines, ensuring a high-quality solution
SHAREHOLDER: Contribute to various operational activities and processes as assigned Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area Protect the interests of the organization identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessary Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists Acquire and apply expertise in the discipline Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite For Financial Advisor Program: Engage customers in conversation to understand and meet their current and future financial needs by proactively providing them with advice/counsel and appropriate products and services Promote products, sales, services and banking capabilities Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by initiating and closing sales opportunities and referrals Identify and refer customers to other partners as appropriate Act as a key resource for all customer financial needs Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions

BREADTH & DEPTH: Focus on providing functional specialized business services, advisory or process / program support for own area of specialty, within defined parameters Requires sound conceptual knowledge in their own field of specialty May provide informal guidance to others May lead small projects and / or support work streams of a bigger project Investigates and analyzes potential solutions; ensures processes and functional programs are implemented Executes on work with some complexity; generally requiring short to medium-term focus (weekly-monthly) Accountable for own work and effective coordination of processes and information across related teams Delivers on assigned initiatives / projects /programs with some direction from management
EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION Undergraduate Degree in related field 1+ years related experience ADDENDUM For Financial Advisors: Completion of the IFIC/CSC and CFSA is required For all USA-based employees: Ability to [process and] handle confidential information with discretion Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines Ability to set priorities and complete assignments on time Skill in conflict resolution and negotiation skills to collaborate across internal and/or external groups/partners Skill in persuading or influencing others Skill in negotiation and facilitation Skill in negotiating by bringing others together and reaching a general consensus Skill in developing, designing or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or products Skill in managing one’s own time and the time of others Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail Skill in encouraging and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary Ability to provide guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems or process related topics
