About the Role:

As an Account Manager, you will work with the Client Service Team to support the link between clients and Kenna. You will leverage your prior experience and skills to collaborate with a cross-functional team to help clients meet business and program objectives. You will be responsible for contributing to strategic planning and lead execution oversight on program development and execution, contributing to the growth and development of the account. In addition, you will oversee and administer all projects under your care, by ensuring all timelines are adhered to and that all parties are working towards their deliverables in a timely and efficient manner. You will be a relationship-builder who develops trust and credibility with clients, and leaders who inspire creativity within the entire team.

As the Account Manager, you will successfully lead meetings with both the Client Service Team and clients and ensure all work is strategically planned, executed and delivered flawlessly, on time and on budget.

What you will do as an Account Manager:

  • Develop and maintain trusted client relationships for all project/program delivery
  • Support the Client Service Team with the development of the proposals, briefs, marketing campaigns, communication strategies and budget estimates as required
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of client’s business, objectives, products, programs, brands, competitors, strategies, etc.Work with the Account Supervisor or Account Director to brief internal teams and assist with the formulation of marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple communication channels and platforms (direct mail, email, web, social, mobile and telemarketing).
  • Assist Account Supervisor or Account Director with the execution of client marketing campaigns; communicate and work with Client, internal teams and outside suppliers, to ensure that all projects goals and objectives are met on time & within budget.
  • Ensure Consistent implementation of all brand standards as specified by the client.
  • Prepare briefing documents on a project by project basis; and briefing all functional groups on project and ensure all required estimates are secured.
  • Conducting internal testing (quality assurance) for marketing campaigns.
  • Setting-up meetings with clients and other agency staff and attending such meetings.
  • Liaise with, and act as the link between, the client and agency by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively and that client requests are managed in a timely manner. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Delegating work to other members of the agency team as appropriate.

Within the scope of the Account Manager role your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Strategic Planning

  • Become familiar with, and gain a solid understanding of, the client’s products, programs, business culture and competitive landscape and understanding the possibility of changes to these.
  • Gain solid understanding of the client databases to assist with identifying high-potential prospects amongst existing and potential customers.
  • Assist in the development of the client’s marketing plan and communication strategies (both online and offline). Present marketing strategies, concepts and budgets to the client for approval.
  • Recommend pro-active enhancements and solutions that will maintain and grow the existing client business.

Financials

  • Assist with the assembling and presentation of proposals and client estimates.
  • Setting up new projects, including opening dockets and associated tasks and providing delivery teams with project (docket) numbers for project commencement and to ensure accurate time tracking for work completed.
  • Handling budgets and managing campaign costs through monitoring of internal and external costs/billings against program and/or campaign budget.
  • Assist with the preparation of briefing documents and initiation of new projects for the client.
  • Work with Account Supervisor or Account Director to oversee the status of marketing campaigns to ensure timely delivery and advise client of delivery and/or delays.
  • Work with Account Supervisor or Account Director to ensure regular and timely project status meetings are held with the internal team to keep campaigns on track and assist with the prioritization of tasks and resolution of any project-related issues for the client.
  • Establish and work within the clients’ budget parameters; and work with Kenna Service Areas to ensure ROI targets are set and analysis and associated insights are completed for all marketing programs and campaign activity.
  • Ensure client approval obtained prior to project commencement.
  • Liaise with internal and external functional groups in developing program design, program specifications, program assumptions and critical paths, as required.

Requirements

About You:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of business experience in a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Agriculture an asset)
  • Development of print marketing materials
  • Experience with websites, email and enewsletter marketing and associated metrics reporting
  • Familiarization with online (digital) industry best practices
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • A proactive and highly organized approach with an ability to motivate, persuade and deal with a broad range of people, from creative to developers to clients.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly while paying attention to detail.
  • Resilience in terms of being able to deal with problems and constructive criticism.
  • An optimistic attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • An awareness of how the industry is developing in light of new communication technologies both online and offline.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Windows, Word, Excel; PowerPoint, Visio). (Lotus Notes experience an asset).
