Kimberley Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of Accounting Data Technician. This is a 10-month position, working part time starting December, 2023.
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, have great attention to detail and be a team player. The Accounting department is responsible for all resort level accounting. In addition to the core operations of ski and golf, the resorts also operate businesses including restaurants, bars, retail shops, equipment rental, ski school etc.
Key Responsibilities
-Cash Audit – reconcile cash outs and sales from all departments.
-Prepare daily deposit
-Prepare, issue, collect and balance departmental floats.
-Accounts Payable – Receive vendor invoices and forward to appropriate department, review GL codes, combine invoices and send to Calgary for processing twice a week.
-General Accounting duties such as filing, helping departments with solving cash out issues.
-Other duties in administration as assigned
Qualifications
-Good interpersonal skills
-Computer skills including a knowledge of Excel, Word, Windows, Accounting programs, Outlook
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-Attention to detail
-Excellent time management skills
-Accuracy and professionalism
-Cash handling experience.
-General accounting experience an asset
Conditions:
-work flexible shifts
-working holidays and weekends can be expected during winter ski season
-part time schedule; approximately 20 hours per week
