Our fast growing Professional Services client is actively seeking a Practice Manager for their new Toronto Office that specializes in business process outsourcing. This is an AMAZING opportunity for the experienced CPA that is looking for a leadership role within a small but highly successful Franchise Firm.
About our Client:
This Firm offers financial outsourcing services (finance, accounting, IT, recruitment, payroll and corporate advisory) to Small, Medium Enterprises in the Toronto market. As part of their expansion strategy, they have acquired a Master Franchisee, and intend to provide best in class service.
About the role:
The Practice Manager will be a key member of the leadership team, and effectively contribute to the smooth running operations of the accounting practise providing professional support which involves liaising with colleagues both onshore and offshore. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage a portfolio of clients including Limited Companies, Partnerships and Individuals – this will include regular contact and meetings to maintain and develop relationships.
- Key point of contact for clients and dealing with general queries.
- Developing the relationship with existing clients displaying a flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to establish credibility with Partners, clients, and supporting the attraction and on boarding of new clients.
- Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of Accountancy and Tax services – overseeing and reviewing work but also being able to prepare year-end accounts and tax returns as required in addition to participating in technical audits and visits.
- Mentoring and coaching Client Advisor staff on best practices in the work environment and client interactions, all the while continuing in their development and providing them feedback all while assisting team members with technical queries and professional development.
- Managing day-to-day operations and admin tasks for the Canada Office and maintaining CPD log in accordance with professional requirements.
- Maintaining [tax planning] tools on the Support Site liaising with the Training and Communications department as appropriate.
About the candidate:
- CPA, CA designation with a minimum of 4 years POST designation experience in audit, financial reporting and tax planning. Public Accounting experience is a MUST
- Influencing, Organization, Communication (speaking, written, presentation), Relationship building, Strong Business Acumen, Diplomacy, Urgency.
- Being organised and commercially minded.
- Excellent communication written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and people skills
