Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Representative. The successful incumbent will provide support to the Finance department by ensuring timely and accurate processing and payment of Accounts Payable.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Match and input all invoices, RFP and expense reports and process for payment, send out for approvals
  • Maintain liaison with vendors, and internal departments
  • Process weekly cheque and EFT runs
  • Support monthly reconciliation of all accounts payable accounts
  • Provide for all audits, documentation of invoices and payments
  • Work closely with procurement to correct any supplier PO issues
  • Accrue month end invoices

Position Requirements

  • 2 yr. college degree (certificate) or equivalent preferable to have worked in Finance or similar position
  • 2-3 year’s work experience in similar/like position preferably manufacturing
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office software
  • General knowledge of Cincom and CODA internal computer system – AP
  • Basic Accounting knowledge – entry level general knowledge
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software such as Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as calculators, printer, faxes and copier
  • Good analytical and communications skills
  • Good interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with vendors and co-workers
  • Detailed oriented
