We currently have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in our Barrhead, AB facility to join our team here at Richardson. In this position, you will be responsible for providing administrative and project support including preparing correspondence, coordinating meetings, and general office duties as follows:

Responsibilities

Assist with purchasing and accounts payable

Support and assist coordination of Company events

Provide back-up support for administrative, receptionist and EH&S roles

Coordinate stationary orders and incoming and outgoing couriers and mail

Assist in production schedules and inventory control

Support HR functions i.e. payroll, new hire orientation

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an Administrative Certificate/Diploma, or equivalent experience in an administrative role as follows;

Knowledge of general office practices, Microsoft applications and experience in word-processing and data entry

2 – 3 years experience in an office administration capacity

Previous experience in payroll is an asset

Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast paced environment

Sound judgment, initiative and decision-making skills

Work independently with minimum supervision

Excellent computer skills including experience with Excel

Proven interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

A valid driver’s licence is required
