The Administrative Support III – OR Booking Clerk is responsible for arranging surgeries and procedures in the OR. Communicating with patients daily via telephone on a daily basis. You will work with limited supervision among a multi-disciplinary team. Please note, this facility provides Long Term Care (LTC) or Designated Supportive Living (DSL) services and by Order of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, many AHS employees are restricted to work only at a single LTC/DSL site for the remainder of the pandemic. Speak to the hiring manager who will confirm if, as the successful candidate in this position, you will be restricted to work at only one LTC/DLS site in Alberta.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
Accurate basic keyboarding skills required. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational, prioritizing and time management skills. Proficiency in the English language to communicate verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to use various computer software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook). Preferred Qualifications:
Successful completion of a Medical Terminology. Recent experience performing similar duties is preferred, preferably in a health care environment.
