Job description: Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Staffing Service Manager, the Staffing Service Centre Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring optimal service levels to clients and staffing service productivity with respect to provincial scheduling best practice and Provincial Staffing Service (PSS) goals and objectives. The incumbent has advanced knowledge and skills with all scheduling applications and provincial scheduling business process and acts as a formal specialized resource for internal staffing service employees as well as client groups (managers and unit/department employees) on staffing process and provincial scheduling best practice. They will provide business knowledge assessments of Administrative Support IV/Vs in support of employee performance and development plans as requested/required by Staffing Service Manager. The Staffing Service Centre Operations Specialist coaches and provides instruction to administrative staff on the performance of job functions and how to achieve service goals and directives. In addition, they will provide specialized support for the orientation and overall performance on-the-job of Staffing Service Centre employees, assessment and development of quality assurance/audit tools to both system tools and scheduling process, and in consultation with Staffing Service Manager, assigns work to be done and supports/directs work as required. This position will also be responsible for the facilitation of education and training for internal Staffing Service Centre employees and external managers and employees. Description:

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-Secondary education required in a related field (ex. Office Administration, Business Administration, Leadership) Minimum 3 years of advanced experience in staff scheduling in a health care environment required. Experience with ESP and ESP Self Service scheduling software required. Proficient in the use of computers and intermediate/advanced knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint required. Experience documenting and analyzing business processes. Experience working with unionized groups and multiple management levels required. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influencing skills and commitment to providing quality services. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. Demonstrates a strong commitment to client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Administrative Support V- Scheduling Team Lead experience preferred. 1+ year of experience providing training/education to adults preferred. Knowledge of Alberta Health Services’ environment and staffing practices preferred.
