A recipient of the 2020 Top Work Unit Award, the CapitalManagement Branchis responsible for the implementation of strategies and methodologies that ensure that the Ministry of Education’s capital information data is useful, accurate, accessible, and understandable to other areas of the Ministry and the general public. Reporting to the Manager, Capital Finance, the Finance and Administrative Officer provides financial management and administrative support for the Ministry of Education’s Capital Management Branch.

An efficient and versatile collaborator, you successfully establish and maintain important working relationships with a variety of individuals to complete work assignments. You have an outstanding eye for detail and ensure that all material and communication is consistently of high quality.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Diploma in business administration or a related field; AND a minimum of 3 years of related experience*. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

*Related experience includes the following:

  • Experience conducting financial forecasts, analysis and reporting.
  • Experience managing procurement processes and invoices.
  • Experience preparing a wide variety of written materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and strict time limits.
  • Experience dealing with senior managers, other government officials and outside agencies.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in research and analysis.
  • Experience working with CAS.
