Job title: Agriculture Division Manager

Job description: Reporting to the General Manager, the Agriculture Division Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and overall operation of the Agriculture Division. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing the business plan for the Agriculture Division, encompassing the areas of customer relations, retail operations, procurement of crop protection, seed, and fertilizer, strategic planning, marketing, and team management.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to work well within a multi-generational team. You will be honest, trustworthy, and results oriented. You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.

– A degree or diploma in Agriculture or Agribusiness is required and CCA, PAg, CCSC or 4R is an asset
– 5+ years of previous management experience in an Agriculture retail environment with proven leadership abilities, along with a strong understanding of operations, business processes and farm business management is required
– A strong background in agriculture-related sales, accounts management, and agronomy
– Completion of Co-op Agro Advance program/willingness to obtain is required
– Ability to manage regional territory objectives and responsibilities
– Crop Planning, scouting, and other agronomy at the senior level
– Sound knowledge of new technology developments in the industry
– Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office Suite, Tronia
– Strong organizational skills
– Accountable for detail and accuracy
– Communicate effectively and professionally with members and customers
– Customer Service orientated
– Ability to operate various tools, equipment, and machinery in a responsible and safe manner
