Job title: Agriculture Service Manager
Job description: The Agriculture Service Manager role is an opportunity for you to join an experienced team and to contribute to the overall success of the dealership.
As Agriculture Service Manager and head of the Redvers location service department, you will:
Direct, coach, mentor, and delegate to 9 department service staff; effectively engaging and inspiring exceptional work
Oversee all planning, administration, and general department management duties
Approve service/work orders; ensuring internal accountability and external customer satisfaction
Be decisive with departmental personnel performance and anticipatory needs
Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment is maintained at the highest level
Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
Proactively conduct customer outreach to build relationships and secure work
Monitor and contribute to profitable service labor sales and exercise disciplined expense control.
Required Qualifications:
Leadership and time-management skills supported by 3+ years’ in a supervisory role
Solid knowledge of technical aspects of agriculture and broad-acre farm equipment
Strong understanding of labor and bill out rates from service department, as well as piece ranking reports, asset turnover and inventory control
Strong computer and typing skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet
Ability to work extended hours and weekends
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to live in the community or commute within a 50 kilometer radius
A strong customer focus
Excellent verbal and written communication
Understanding of dealership financials
Level-headed and working for the greater good of the team and business
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with John Deere agriculture equipment
Journeyperson trade a strong asset; either Agriculture Heavy Equipment or Heavy Duty
5+ years’ in an agriculture service department (or applicable experience)
